3200 RPM spring question

Postby Billy Bones » Sun Jan 06, 2013 12:05 am

So I'm still new to Cummins and I am looking into getting a 3200 rpm gov spring but don't know where I should go for price and quality I've heard of guys getting springs from all over the place and all sorts of prices. I'm hoping I could get a few opinions where I should look to buy, quality and price. Has anyone heard anything about this one? Thanks!

There's a series of videos about the 3200 spring install on Youtube. 91CTD is the guy's username on Youtube I think. He goes a really good job of explaining everything.

They are usually between $16 and $20, I wouldn't worry about the quality if it says it's a Bosch part.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

i just did mine, i had the head off so it was a lot easier. I think the biggest thing is just to make sure your pump is extremely clean on the outside before you remove the pump top. Dirt could easily fall down in there and cause some havoc. I used the videos on youtube and reading the treads on here to help point me in the right direction. Overall this is a really easy mod to do and cheap. Good luck man :D
