I can drive it anywhere like it sits, the blower fabbing won't interfere with the exhaust or intake piping for quite a while. I'll get on here and run a couple mounting ideas around and see what everyone's opinions are.

How much did your m112 run you? Im thinking a S465 with a .90 T4 being fed by a M112.

Well, we know that at least one part of this statement is not true.
Not sure if it's the going part, or the not coming back part.

There's a saying about doors and backsides and not letting one come in contact with the other.

~$380 shipped off fleaBay.
I just got the wild hair as I was working on our D9 today and started scouring CL. There was one on there for $250 and I called about it and it was sold, so I just stewed for a while.
Finally I just jumped on EBay and bought the cheapest, complete setup I saw. I got to thinking, I'd be in this at least $850 for a super40, and possibly another $5-1000 for the primary that I'm looking for.

I'll probably still get another primary, hopefully something T4 foot and smaller A/R than my current 1.32. Then I'd have to send my steed back in for a T4 foot. It's a vicious cycle. :D

Alrighty, here's my supposed layout plan (MSPaint, yo!):

From the top
Image

From the front
Image

I've been through CCarl's threads a couple times and noted that my radiator outlet would make this a huge PITA to run on the exhaust side. I personally don't see any proles with running it as I've got it here. I plan to enlarge the opening on my factory middlecooler and turn it around so it points toward the drivers side, then just cobble exhaust elbows to get it lined up. if I open up that hole I should be able to get 4" pipe in there if I need it and it's capable of making the bends. If there's no room to get the feed line around the back of the 'cooler than I'll bring it around the front of the engine and back. This is all just imagination fab until I see just how big an M112 blower is, but I don't see any huge clearance issues with this setup. Yet.

Thoughts? Besides how long it'll take me to get done?

I want an Eaton TVS1900...

No more turbos needed.

The $6k price tag says I am not getting it.

I don't really trust the belt drive system to handle the stress involved with competing with a turbo system. Hell, all you hear about is D-max's snapping their crankshafts when running big blowers. Since Carl seems to run a secondary system off the fan idler I don't think the factory belt setup would transfer enough power to do it anyways. Not to mention the idler is held on with like 6 1/4" bolts.

It's going to be awesome having boost at idle. Just think of all that low end torque.....

Ha!!

She's already pretty growly, I can just imagine. Since it's a driver anyways I don't foresee a bad thing about it. I don't go around smoking tires and crap around town anyways.

Heh, what's wrong with that turd?

I'm pulling the blue RC back out of the garage. Dad pointed out that I was going to have a big RC body, that I wasn't going to use, floating in the shop while I redid the frame. Guess I'll be experimenting with some backyard frame gymnastics. :?
