Nope, I was going to say the exact same thing as you did (quoted above the pic), but didn't get around to it. I like facts. Dyno sheets are facts. Fact is, I've yet to see a dyno sheet for a VE truck read beyond 400 hp with 7 hole sticks.

Another fact is, I could care less about making power. I fold. I should stay out of the power making threads.

Maybe I haven't dynoed mine yet  betcha I'd be disappointed

Bet you won't, it does exactly what you need it to do and a dyno sheet is irrelevant.

This thread seems to have become something along the lines of measure with a micrometer, mark with a crayon, and cut with an axe.

Flow chart came back...5x14s flowed 65lpm in and 78lpm when they went out. Will have more info once he gets his truck put back together in a couple weeks.

So if flow honing decreases the distance the fuel has to flow through the nozzle, will this make the nozzle weaker? Could a set of 6x9 sticks be flow honed to,say,80 lpm, or do they have to be edm'd to a certain size first?

i didn't think it was shortening the distance the fuel traveled. i thought it was similar to cleaning up the casting flaws via porting. it just smooths everything out, so injectors that have rough edm holes will get more benefit than higher quality injectors?

It will not make them weaker.... it shortens the affective distance (the distance with most resistance).

It radiuses both ends of the hole. But yes it smooths out the imperfection of the edming of the whole.

You can only hone out so far...generally about 20%

Sorry if that sounded rude.and no this was like 15 years ago.I replaced almost everything in that engine and had the transmission rebuilt.it had billet shafts,a shift kit, torque converter.I'm having shifting problems right now.it goes into od at 25mph.is it cus I dont have the tps and ECM I think not hooked up? Is there anyway to bypass those?
