Do you not have a sand blaster?

Do you?

Nope, I don't have a big, external sandblaster. We've got one of those little cabinet blasters at work but I'm no good at welding so I can't cut the frame up to fit in it. :(

Yep. But since it's a flea market special, I need to change out the brass valves on it that wore out a long time ago. :yuck:

Oh, that's cool. Don't bother mentioning it to me, you know, since I've been posting on here for like 2 months about wire-wheeling a frame off in my garage and all. :P

My cousin has one as well, I just don't really want to go to Jackson and get it. I'll decide after I get done with my current project, but after seeing the crup I missed around the rearmost body mounts it looks like they'll either all have to come off or I'll have to find another method.

Got the front springs dropped the rest of the way off, then spilled my new beer as I was pulling the last spring eye bolt out.

I returned to the house to mourn, services will continue the rest of the night.

I had this giant paragraph (speech) typed out about how gay Hineman and Jesse were, and about this thread and everyone's contribution to it's growth, but I put a transmission into a Jeep tonight and just don't have the willpower to try and make a decent closing for it...

Oh well, maybe later on in the week. 8)

Anybody got an idea on the size of the copper washers for the front brake caliper banjo bolts? Mine developed a leak a while ago and apparently my rear brakes aren't adjusted up very well because my pedal had a little introduction with my floor the other night as I rolled past my road.

Ahhhh the banjo washers. Chevy D60 calipers use a 3/8" inner diameter washer and I believe dodge is 7/16 ID. However, if the calipers were replaced with rebuild ones, you may have the 3/8" on your truck. Most parts stores have a box of different sizes for less than a buck a piece.

Thanks, man! If they're that cheap I'll just grab 4 of each and stash the losers in a drawer in the garage. They'll come in handy for something, I'm sure.

So, who wants to see what $100 will get you at Cummins these days?

I grabbed some nuts and studs for the manifold-to-head from McMaster-Carr, but figured I'd get good Cummins locking nuts and a couple studs for the 'gate flange side of the 'Steed. We all know a set of gaskets is a minimum $30 there.

This was literally my face when he told me the price.

I charged it to the company, we'll see how long it takes the secretary to track me down.

Yeah right, I had a training day of scaling trucks out and that was enoug for me. It was nice to stay clean, but sitting inside all day dealing with strangers is definitely not my cup of tea. I could just imagine if you brought finances and sthi into it. :?
