Periodic maintenance ?'s

So my 93 is at 179k, what are some things I should do to keep her hummin? I really don't know much about these mills other than they are stong solid engines. The run down on the truck is as follows; 93 W350 clubcab automatic dually. The original owner set it up to haul a 5th wheel by adding Banks power pack including exhaust,GearVendorover/underdrive,BD engine brake,airbags up front and airbag loadleveler set up in rear( the bags are built into a pivot that attaches to the rear shackle and is part of the ballhitch set up). I have the Banks tach and pyro, and Isspro boost.
The controller for the GV is no good so I use as an extra o.d. with a toggle switch. The engine brake is also dead.
I guess what I want to know is what can I do on a tight budget to get her back in shape? I am planning a trans svc(band tightening,etc...). Should I run valves? What is pump timing? Should I have it done or can a guy with some mech ability do it in a day? Does the airbox need to be vented to get air from outside the engine compartment?
Sorry so long winded, just trying to figure yhis great beast out. All my life I have worked small block Mopars, this is all new to me. Thanks for any help. By the way she is my daily driver, and hauls my home(34' 5th wheel).

Where in FL are you exactly.

I'd run the valves,and bump the timing up the 1/8.....search YouTube,there's a good vid on it

Change the coolant. Refill using a good corrosion inhibitor, antifreeze, and DISTILLED water.
Change the oil. Use a quality oil filter designed to handle the oil pressure surge. Fleetgard, Wix, or NAPA as the minimum.
Change the differential gear oils. You would be surprised how many old vehicles are still running around with the OEM oil. Also clean the differential vents.
And if your ambition is high, do the killer dowel pin fix.

Ellis, I am in Fort Myers, about 2hrs south of Tampa. When you say bump the timing, is thap pump timing, or is there an "ignition timing"? Still trying to learn the ins and outs of a diesel engine, so please forgive the ignorance.

Pump timing, which changes the combustion event a little, or ignition

If you are going to adjust valves, which you should, grab a new set of valve cover gaskets. Depending on if and when it was ever done that rubber gets hard and will leak once you disturb them. I'd run some diesel kleen too, replace fuel filter as well.

I run Dieselkleen in every fill up, the 100gal size. Is this too much?
I do need to do the valve covers anyway, a gew are leaking.
