Stopping in to say hello. Im from Belews Creek, NC near Winston and Greensboro.
Specs on my truck are:
91.5 W250 4x4, NV4500, 6" lift and 37" military tires, 250,000 miles, runs great, has a few leaks but i love the truck. Some fuel mods, and straight piped. Im working on getting the body and pint work fixed and im starting to try to find parts for a dually conversion, which i have to say is a pita.

Here she is now, dont mind the paint, the bed was white so the olive was just to get closer to the cab color until the real color goes on.

Thanks rockbuggy. What all have you got done to your Jimmy? I've been crawling for years now and have a 1st gen toyota crawler. I guess i can thank rockcrawling for getting me into diesels, gotta have a tow rig for the crawler.

That's kinda what got me into diesels too. Funny how things happen. Right now everything under the frame was built by me in my driveway. Coil springs up front and 3/4 ton leafs in the rear with a frame extension. It'll be getting a V8, trans, Tcase, and a roll cage once I get home from overseas. I originally built on a low dollar budget about 2 years ago and have less than $3500 into it (including price of truck and all 4 37x14.5 creepy crawlers).

rockbuggy that sounds like a good low budget wheeler. I build mine the same way, CHEAP lol, but with this economyi guess all us working folk have tobuild them that way. Ive got an '80 Toyota with less than $2500 in it. Its locked, 4.1 transfer case gears and has either beadlocks and 37's or 39's for it. Still about another $1000 to put in to get the wayi want butim pretty proud of that price tag.

Yup I hear ya. Mine are welded too. The biggest mistake I have done in building it was running 1/2 ton axles from a 1500. The CAD up front is a weak spot and theres not much aftermarket support for the rear. Would you happen to have a pic of your toy?

I've got a decent pic of it. Its still a work in progress, as soon as i get the money for tube im gonna bend up a front bumper and then a cage. I plan on painting it and the dodge matching color. It aint much but i love the old truck.

It had a dana 44 front, 60 rear, 5.38 gears, locked front and rear, dual cases, and before i sold it had a tjm winch bumper, and 38" TSL's on 32 bolt beadlocks. Sold it for $2500 with nothing wrong to pay a lawyer to get custody of my son. Long story short i lost the truck and custody of my son and found out he wasnt mine. Should have kept the dang truck. I miss it.

BC847 i thought the same thing th first time i saw Buies Creek. I've even had people ask if i even knew how to spell the city im from lol. Buies Creek is a lot bigger than Belews Creek, we are lucky to have a stop light lol.
