Removing the afc

Postby GO OVRIT » Mon Jan 21, 2008 8:46 pm

So how streetable is the pump with no afc? I can train myself to drive just about anything, but occasionaly the wife or my little brother might get their feet on the pedals. What are the side effects on an allaround driver/hauler/play toy? Thanks, Mike

side effects: increase of fuel sufficient to create an extra 3 or 4 psi boost

that is assuming you already have a fully ground cone

from stock cone to no afc would be even more noticable

the fuel is avail as soon as you are off idle tho, so the pedal is that much more touchy

whats done to your cone now?

How noticable would it be with a stock cone and stock injectors on a 92 intercooled?

i have a 93 ic, that i did it to, and you get maby 2 pounds of boost and a bit more botom end smoke and torque, but its not as mush as dt truck due to the small injectors that come with the ic trucks, you will have no proble diving it on the street
