Had to say thanks to Pete and Philip for the help on my 92 computer mess. It ended up being the computer on the fritz. I checked the wires as directed and all the power and grounds are good. I have bypassed the alt. circuit with a external regulator and it worked great on the vacation hauling the camper in the north maine woods.
Pete and philip,,, now the computer has gone all together. No longer will become active at all even after long run times. Thanks again guys for the help. With my 92 being a standard tranny, non air, non cruise truck I won't miss the computer at all.
