For the life of me, I cannot find anything wrong. Been making test runs with each thing I have done, and still can't break 24psi and 950 degrees. Somewhere it is lacking fuel. I got it to give a very light haze under full tilt, but that is well above 2400rpms. Anything below that, clean as can be. It does have some pep to it, but the other wierd thing is that when I let the clutch out on a 2nd gear take off, it wants to die. Got to give it a bit of throttle to keep it alive, then it will take off...just like a rubber band.

Maybe the watchamacallit the fuel screw pushes on broke? I put a lengthened screw in a 205 pump and was then able to hit runaway. Turned it down to below runaway and was only hitting low 20's for boost. (4x13's) Decided to play with the screw a week later turned it down 2 or 3 turns and gained 10 psi lol.

It appears to be intact and working correctly, as I thought the same thing. Pulled the pump top and inspected everything, nothing out of the ordinary :?

I'm fixing too...except the "top hat" spring earned its Airborne Wings...it went flying across the garage a while back and I haven't seen it since...probably gonna look up the part number for it and order one, but its gonna get put in the "new" pump so I can get the old pump going...

I can't get much of a break  I swapped a few things around from the new pump back to the old (non-ic), installed the old pump, etc., now it has issues...mainly same as before, starts to miss at 1400rpm's and gets worse as rpm's increase, along with when the clutch is pushed in when coming off the throttle, it will stumble and die, like the governor will not "catch" it at the right time, feels the same as if you turn the key off. At lower rpm's, i.e. snapping the throttle open by hand, it will come down and "catch", but at real low rpm's, like 300 or so, then bounce back up to idle, which is set at 750rpm. I don't have much time to fart around with this pump, I am going to pull it back off, swap parts back over and run the "new" pump out to S.O.P., where hopefully someone can give me a hand...

Sounds like an air issue to me.

When did this start? Meaning, what was the last mod/change since it was running good.

Thinking about it, I must have messed something up internally. This pump never had any issues before I did a re-seal on it, ran great...just leaked fuel everywhere. The miss is "dirty", I can see the individual plumes of smoke from the tail pipe when it does...

Run poor before the new injectors? It is possible that maybe some poor fuel or the new injectors just decided to stick.???????????

That shouldn't cause a laboring "catch up" though.

So the original pump did this..........put on new pump and it was ok, then not........same issues?

Sounds like something other than the ip.

Ok, this thing has been a messy build, so I will start from the top:

Original IP,LP and OE injectors. Leaking IP.
Resealed OE IP, LPPP, and OE injectors. Runs good up to 1500 or so RPM, then starts to miss, progressively worse with increased RPM's. Stalls when throttle is side stepped.
Used 184 pump, LPPP, 6x11's. Runs ok, no more missing, etc.
New, old stock 205 pump, LPPP, 370's. Runs fair, but real clean. Missing out on some fuel somewhere.
Resealed OE pump, LPPP, 370's. Miss, stalling, etc., but the fuel is there compared to the 205 pump.

Kind of how things have been moved around in the last few months...

Ok.........definitely sounds like a inj. pump issue.
