Sure this has been covered on here a few time

Lookin at puttin some 60 or maybe 90 lb valve springs on the cummins this weeken
I watch a u tube video of two guys doin it does seem tht hard at all
Was just wondering if there's any tips or tricks or advice tht can b given b4 I do it
Also saw them hook air up where the injectors go wat is the reason for this an does it need to b done ?

make sure what ever cyl you are about to swap the valve springs on is on TDC. they put shop air into the cyl to keep the valves from dropping down into the cyl. if a valve falls down into the cyl, you gotta pull the head. unless you are really good with a magnet on a stick

Any idea on tht size threads needed to fit where the injectors go?

you need this to put shop air into the cyl. you can get them cheaper probably.

There's no reason to put air into the cylinders, this isn't some gasser trash! ;) Make sure the cylinder you are doing is on TDC, the piston is almost touching the head and the valve can't fall out. I do that all the time on stuff at work and on my own truck.

Yep.......which ever cylinder is at its cross over point (exhaust valve coming up, intake valve opening), it's "companion cylinder" is at tdc.
