Ya.... no one from this site around me.

There are a few cf guys around, but they aren't the same.

However.... there is one cf guy that moved up from Colorado. I met him last week and I think he might be a cool guy.

P.S. - this dyno I went to, I don't think I talked to more than 2 people. I truly felt like I was at an "oraler" convention. The topic of the day - "my truck rolls coal" and "did you check out my 13 foot stacks, ya... they are square too?"

Ya... I'm not a compD sort of guy, but it was the only way I knew how to explain it.

What the Hell is wrong with CompD???? I'm sooooooo tired of people bagging on the largest, most successful, and most diverse diesel site there is. There, I said it.

Oh yea, nice numbers RC, bring it to sea level 8)

If I want a higher number............all I have to do is not change a thing and either go to the Seattle area dyno, or the Alligator dyno........that way I would be guaranteed a 10-20% higher hp reading. If not more.

What's wrong with CompD? Nothing in itself........... One just gets sick and tired of people (members) bagging on the most important, successful and diverse people in the diesel world..... the newbies. There, I said it.

I don't see it, but whatever.

423 horse on "just" a 62 is sweet.

No to be honest, I don't see it much anymore. I was rarely on the site snooping around in the past and it just seemed (to me anyways) that people were definitely un welcoming and non friendly (this was like a year ago, and more). Lately though, however..... I don't notice it.

Oraler: One who bets (as on a race) by word of mouth without giving or receiving any ticket or slip

Is this the same way compD uses it? I hardly ever go there. I don't pull a sled or drag race.

I don't know the true CompD definition........but, in short... the "ricers" of the diesel world.

And just so it has been said... that 423 number will be higher next time (unless it blows up). The truck has a lot of tuning left to make it right. I've been messing with the dynamic timing curve a lot lately and trying new springs out. I put in a new timing spring 2, maybe 3 days before the dyno. Had about 2 hours tops to try and tune the thing in. And not to mention my wastegate issue.. I can't seem to keep the gate in between 40 and 50. If I don't completely close it off, it opens and holds 40 psi. For the dyno the gate was closed off, which is obviously not good for power.

Canister style.... I've been putting off pulling the turbo to tighten up the rod and trying to get away with an adj. elbow. The adj. elbow flat doesn't work........all it does it slow down the gate from opening. I can close off the elbow to the point where it will hold 50 for 5 seconds and then bam...........all the way down to 40.
