I see. I ran no gate on my first two turbos then ran the canister style for about a month before putting a spring type. Couple turns out and I went from 40 to 38 and it wouldn't go any higher. I also like how how the turbo looks without that hose

Well.... I have the Borg Warner "high boost canister", so the adjustment is there.... it is just a matter of doing it. I might go with a BD style adjustable rod, as the s300 based turbos are not user friendly the 12 valve clocked positions.

Cool. I switched because of twins and I had no idea how to tune the canister style

If you get your lazy ass out of the pasture and actually climb up into the woods you may have seen an elk.

Peak torque comes in at 56mph = 2173rpm.

Peak horsepower comes in at 61mph = 2400rpm.

Seems like your peaks are a like 500 rpm above normal?

Peak torque is normally for ve pumped engines anywhere from 1900-2200..... I run LOADS of timing and therefore everything gets shifted to the right.

Peak hp normally is anywhere from 2000-2800 just depending upon the set up.

Now, my peak tq should be a little lower than that (in the rpm band). What I noticed was, on the dyno.... it was loaded SO HEAVILY that I couldn't even fully spool my turbo until where it peaked.... This is why my tq peak is so teepee like. If it wasn't loaded as heavily it would of come in earlier and fell off about the same. You see it going up so steep because that is literally showing my turbo spool.

Ok, thanks for the info. I wonder if it would be better (for what I am trying to do) if I took my timing back to the stock setting on the timing gear. It's advanced a tooth right now.

If you back your injection pump back all the way from the head....it will put you really close to stock timing and advanced about an 1/8". Where is your pump now?
