Engine storage

Best way to store an engine for a few years??? fill the cylinders with oil?? any other tips. Truck runs as of now.

Is The Motor going to be out of truck ? if so cover exhaust port on turbo and Intake and then cover the intake side of Motor you will be fine . I pulled my donor apart and just taped everything shut it was 2 yr's before it got set back into place just uncovered everything and fired it up . No problem's

If you're storing the whole truck, consider pest control. Every Chrysler I've ever seen sit up for any amount of time was a rodent magnet.

Doesn't matter what it is, rodents get into everything.

Lots of companies make ultrasonic rodent repeller devices. They plug into 110V and draw almost nothing for power, if you'll have electricity available. They work, I use them in a travel trailer.

Moth balls or dryer sheets work good too. Don't get the environmentally friendly dryer sheets, they are so friendly the mice use them for their nests.

Lol thanks for the tips....but ill be pulling the engine out and scrapping the rest i dont use.

Aw, that's a shame. In that case, I'd just make sure there's no tap water in the block and use balled up plastic bags instead of wadded up rags to plug holes.
