To avoid spots make sure to move the gun/can at a steady speed while maintaining proper distance. Be sure to release the trigger before you are done your sweep, and don't re-engage until you are sweeping back again. I've spray bombed a few of my trucks over the years, I'm pretty good with a rattle can.

Always wanted to try painting with a real paint gun lol. Always good to do a little test run on something, at least to confirm the can/gun is working correctly. How good it turns out mostly depends on prepping.
