Free is always great, but the stock ones don't hold up to modified power levels. I did four converters before I put my bd one in. Then my flex plate broke. For some reason it is always easy to find the weakest link. :bom:

When I let off the throttle going down the road I don't hear the noise, still think it's the flex plate ? I just wanna be sure before I tear it apart, I still gotta find a flexplate patc said that one wouldn't work.

Changed it today and the old plate looks fine, I still hear the knock but its not as loud now. Could it be the converter ??

Also, when I first start it, it hazes blue lightly, could this be an injector issue causing the knock ? The engine runs great, has good power, doesn't miss, except for today after I got off work, I started it and it was missing on one cylinder for about 5-10 seconds, its about 35 degrees out also. I'm leaning towards an injector.

What about the vacuum pump ? It just started leaking the other day also. But I've heard the noise before it started to leak..

Crack each injector and the knock will stop when you hit the right one. That'll work as long as you can distinguish a knock from a miss.

If you think the original flex plate has life left, I'll buy it. My local connection didn't follow through.

Ok, I'll do that, and if you cover shipping, It's yours, I have no use for it, I didn't see anything wrong with it.

What's your location? I'm in Lafayette. It may be cheaper for me to just drive.

If not, do you have paypal?
