This idea is all RCCUMMINS' idea.
Does any one else think a parts review section would be good? I'm thinking a bank of reviews on performance, aftermarket, and even stock replacement parts would be useful. This would sort of be a "Do's and Don't's" of maintaining and/or modifying a 1st gen. In theory a "library" of reviews would be a one stop shop for the low down from people that have already been there and done that. This way we, the pool of 1st gen owners, can avoid the mistakes others made and capitalize on the success of others. I'm sure that folks thinking of buying high dollar parts would like reviews from people that already have/had the part. I believe that from a newb's prospective, the section would be great. I can't count the times I spent money twice to get the desired result when I first bought my Dodge. The same can be said for when something uncommon breaks or goes wrong.
For example, early on I didn't know that the blue Mopar voltage regulator was the one to have. None of the others are nearly as reliable. Another one would be which brake master cylinder is actually any good? I'll need to tackle my leaking one sometime soon. Those Atlas springs that RC found would be a good candidate for this proposed section too.
Opinions? Thoughts?
