My truck brakes are excellent.
Basically replaced everything a while back. Check out my thread:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9864&p=74837#p74837I basically replaced every single piece of brake hardware on the truck including ALL hydraulic lines and hoses. I removed the rear anti-lock components & upgraded to 1 ton wheel cyls & 3" brake pads. Gotta be careful not to lock up the rear wheels in the rain. If I had to do it again I would stick with the 3" brake pads but keep the 3/4 ton wheel cyls.
After replacing everything I had a hell of a time bleeding the system, power bleeder didnt have enough push to force all the air out. Ended up doing the old school buddy pump the pedal while I crack the bleeders.
Caveat, I don't reccomend brakeperformance.com. Dissapointed with overall quality.
If you are having trouble with your rear adusters, maybe double check that the aduster hardware is installed correctly. It's easy to go wrong there. When I took mine apart I noticed the hardware was incorrectly installed by the previous guy. Hence shoes were down to bare metal one one side.
So as good as it brakes now (and it does brake well) my 2nd gen 02 dually is even better! Lovin the rear disc brakes.
