Came from Chicago and Michigan. Needs rockers and a drivers floor pan, roof popped back out, and the 4 dents in the bed fixed for it to be straight.

Side note... Picked my color. Satin green. The guy I was talking to suggested Chevy Hunter Green from the 90's trucks then doing something to the clear. Since this guys restores beautiful Camaro's and does a bunch of side work for a few of my co-workers, I will take his advice. The satin green should go good with chrome.

I am this far along and spent 6 hours getting here. I cannot remove the ball joints from the knuckle for the life of me. I only have a 16oz hammer. If it is still like this when I go to work on Tuesday, I am bringing a couple big hammers home.

Any tips? How does one get the upper control arm off? I broke the rearward (left side of pic) off. Snapped clean and flush. I thought it was going well when I put the open end wrench on it. It just twisted...

Oh. I also bought the thread-in lower balljoints and not the press in. FML...

Pickle fork and some heat. Heat the crap out of the knuckle and then drive the fork in to separate it. Or drive the fork in, then hit the edge of the knuckle to shock it. Like getting a tie rod end out, you remove the nut and hit the end of the eye and the end pops right out. most of the time. ;)

As for the A arm, got no idea, burn the bitch out?

As I need the truck tomorrow ( I hate my job sometimes), I slapped it back together. It is for sale. I am done with these old trucks. Or not having the money to send it to a real mechanic.

Don't drive it with a broken bolt in that control arm. It will come apart.

I am getting one tomorrow afternoon. I couldn't drive it out with a drift. I will drive the Subaru if I have to.

I used a sawzall to cut those bolts for the a arm on my d250 once. Took a few blades to cut them, and I am sure torch cutting them would have burned the greaseball to the ground.

I am getting the sawzall from work tomorrow. We have Milwaukee blades. They last a good bit longer IMO than the Bosch or Dewalt blades.
