They still advance the timing when cold. "Activated" means just that.... it is activated to in order to advance it.

The non i/c ksb simply takes power to be un activate it... where is the i/c style uses power to activate it.

They are high on most things but seem to always carry tougher to find stuff.

No local driveline shop? The one in my FRT is squeaking like a SOB and I think I'm just going to replace the whole shaft, the ball and socket thingy is loose too. Last I knew they were about $300 for a whole shaft. I remember when they were $175 for the shaft.
I have changed the joints in the CV also, it's not that bad, you just need 3 hands and a good vise. Or vice. ;)

Well I sent BC my contact info a year ago and still don't have access so I didn't know if anyone uses it still or if it was shut down. Didn't really matter to me I guess but I just got to thinking about it tonight.

The CV ball let go, so I have to deal with Ford or them since I can't find anything on fleabay. $110 to rebuild the shaft joints and all.

I've dealt with Wilkinson before. They charged me $200 to shorten and rebalance a drive shaft. I'd hate to think they would want to rebuild one with 3 u-joints and a CV.

I should check with Rowe Truck. They gave my buddy a 24v front drive shaft since they do a lot if work for pullers.
