i want to do a disc break conversion on my truck. I've heard you have to do a second gen booster? has anyone done it? how hard? is it worth it? any tips and info would be greatly appreciated

I just did '03 disc conversion. Kind of a pain because the parts list and template were wrong. Or at least the part numbers didn't cross reference between NAPA and other places. Pretty sure I messed up my master (it was old anyway) in the process, but that's ok because I did a hydroboost swap shortly after. It all works great now. I'll have to do a little write up one of these days.
I have the file for cutting the brackets all dialed in now too. Took a few revisions. I don't know why the template I was given didn't work, all D70 axles are the same/similar, right? Between 3/4-1 ton Dodges I mean. At least as far as hub mounting goes.
I don't know if this setup will fit under 16" rims though? I've got 19.5s and have heard they don't mix well? Haven't tested anything else there.
It works with stock parts. A new proportioning valve would make it better though. The stock one sends too much to the rear brakes and they can lock up pretty easy if you aren't careful. I seem to recall their kits don't work on duallies but I'm not positive. The best thing to do would be to call them and talk to one of the guys that knows what he's doing.
kyle, there is a thread on here on the disc conversion, i cannot remember the website but all that is included in the thread as it is a well done writeup
