Rubber body mount bushings

Postby 69HemiGTX » Sun Jan 18, 2015 10:43 pm

OK, I need to know if there are any sources for rubber body mount bushings - NOT POLY. I don't want any poly bushings anywhere. I know they have to be available somewhere.

Pretty sure dealer only. I looked around after I put in poly mounts and couldn't find any. If you do find some let me know, I'm not real happy with the poly ones either.

The NOS ones are almost all gone. I have some poly ones under my crewcab, and would love to get them out of there too. I looked for them through the dealer and was only able to find the lower ones, and I think one other upper mount. The rest are no longer available.

For a time I was looking for an aftermarket solution, found some mid/late 60's GM car body bushings that looked promising, but never finished my research.

Several of the stock mounts are NLA, no longer available from Dodge, not even any dealer stock left.
The poly ones are quite a bit stiffer, and transmit a lot more vibration to the cab. I've gotten more used to them now. I have a vibration in the truck I can't find that comes on about 65mph, and I feel it pretty good. The rest of the time I don't notice the vibration as much as I did last summer.
