80/83/.9 to a 76/83/.9. Spoolup is a lot faster than the 80. It's lighting right around 1800 if she isn't smoky, or 1900 if she is (I can pedal into it at 1900 and make 20psi no problem. More throttle and it downshifts though, so it's hard to get a really good gauge on it) pulls hard right up 3700rpm, but it looks like it's a touch slower in the family test spot than the 80. It's definitely a lot more practical turbo to dd with. Shenanigans on snowy gravel roads are much easier to accomplish now

I just got this one broken in the way I like it, Pete.

The RC is even a little rough for me, not to mention the ride is a little too bad for the body considering how rusty it is. I blame the front suspension completely for the body mount collapsing.

I started down the path to hopefully eliminating the crankcase pressure issue on my 6.7. Going to add a -12 bulkhead fitting, and a catch can. Hopefully doubling the crankcase venting solves the problem, and stops oil from seeping out the valvecover.

So it spools about the same as the sb62 on a 12 valve. The 76 vs 78 wheel should be interesting.

Anybody mess with electronics', primarily inverters'? Looking for a quality 12v to 120v inverter that has a smooth sine curve that will run a control board.
With the goofy weather lately, we've lost power a half dozen times already do to high winds or ice. I have a generator, but all I run is the pellet stove, since we keep jugs of water stocked, and have a propane stove.

The pellet stove, as best as I've found, only requires 2amps to operate. It'd be nice to have an inverter that will run the stove and charge a cell phone, for say 12-16hrs. I'd be using a group 31 battery, and can easily wire 2 together if needed.

Indeed it should be. From what I've gathered the 7 blade is a continuation of the design my 76 has, so naturally I want to try the 6 blade which should out spool a 7 blade 475 (based on compressor mass). I've now heard of 2 instances where 478's have surged badly though, so I'll just have to wait and see what it does on mine. my 80, and 76 have surged on mine already (the 80 clearing up at 2800rpm, and the 76 clearing up sooner, and not doing it nearly as bad)

Well guys it's the last day for this thread. I have one piece of good news. My hot pipe is finally finished. I spent a bunch of time after a couple of my shifts cleaning up welds, and fixing leaks, but last night I got the last leak fixed, and hit it with some 2000* header paint. Just have to get some more header wrap, and it'll be ready to run. If nothing comes up I'll fix the leaks in my ic pipe and cold pipe (there aren't many in those) then I'll need to make a run home for my gold and red, then I just have to smooth and paint the secondaries turbine housing and everything but the downpipe will be all done (though I still need a -4 line for primary feed, and a divided t3 spacer)
