Thats the thing with all the spool valves I've seen, you lose the seal between the front and rear cylinders before the exhaust gets to the turbine wheel, open or closed. I think building one into the outlet of an exhaust manifold would keep the cylinders divided in the unactivated position, then the divider itself could pivot on a one sided hinge on a 45 degree angle blocking the rear volute and diverting all exhaust to the front volute. I'd pay 700-800 for a stainless manifold with a properly engineered valve built in. Gotta be a way to build one that doesn't have any exhaust leaks.
