Ended up being a total sthi show, the hand primer on the IP went bad and kept letting air into the injectors.

I drove clear home and stole the primer off dad's 4020 so I could get it moved.

Well that's better than the one kenworth at work. I don't know why it's losing prime, but whenever I work on it (did an airbag, shock mount and shock when the shock mount broke, and water pump shortly thereafter) but it always starts for me which is nice. The western star that won't shut off without turning the headlights off though I'm stumped on. I played with it the one day, and had it working just like it's supposed to. I shut it off 5 times with the headlights on, and now it's back to needing the headlights off to kill the engine. Could be a relay. Haven't played with it more than that one day aside from changing the stuffing boxes, and plungers on its triplex

No no no, the saying is, "If it can't be fixed with a hammer, it's an electrical problem." And I have fixed a few electrical problems with a hammer too. ;)

From what some of those guys have said western star did it on purpose to stop people leaving the lights on. I'm just not sure why it worked fine for me that day then went back to what it was doing before

Finally found one. :)

Ex Tejas truck, she's patch and bondo free, got a little rust on the rear quarter skin. I'm taking it straight to the body shop after I strip it, gonna have them rustproof the underside, fix the rust, and rhinoline the interior. Probably gonna line the firewall with something to kill some sound.

Glad to see you get that one. I tagged you soon as I saw it on FB that day but didn't know if you ever saw it.

Dude's got a whole yard full of Ramchargers, at least 7 of them. Then other old dodges stashed here and there around his road. Dunno if I want to turn the whole 1stgen world loose on him or not, he's more of a gasser guy and seems to already have his own little network of buyers and sellers.

He may just snap like Mark if we get ahold of him.

Is it a later model ramcharger with a different grille? Headlights look weird in the buckets.
Nice truck though

Title says 86, the headlights do look funny but they may be adjusted weird or something. Temps have been in the 20's and snow on the ground since I brought it home, I haven't even gotten it off the trailer yet. :?

I think it may have been a drag truck of some sort, possibly being built into one. The battery is in the back, it's got dual, 2.5" exhaust and mufflers, and a nice electric fuel pump on the passenger framerail.

Maybe they're adjusted down to hit the road during wheelies?
