An HX35 will be ok if you do go with a manual, it wouldn't be well suited if you stayed with an auto. HE351 off a stock 05.5-07 cummins would be even better, and has a 4" outlet to match your new 4" piping
You have all the fuel on tap (with your stock injectors) needed for 300, you should only need the air and piston pump to get there. And you could do it without the piston pump, but it would shorten the life of your new IP.
