I am wondering if the external spring on the linkage gong to the fuel pump is needed....
(the coil extention spring which runs from the tab on the gear case to the control rod)
I tried it arround the yard without the spring on - didnt feel anything negative- seemed to come back down
to idle OK without the external spring. The force on the pedal felt more like I am used to. With the extra spring hooked up
I seem more consious of how hard I am pushing the pedal down.
1. do i need the extra spring
2. if I do- where is the best place where it should hook in- ( I am still using the bellcrank that used to have the cruise control
on it )
(I have used a cable -in-tube type throttle cable- taken care to run it close to perfectly straight so to reduce friction
to a minimum )
thanks-
Tim
