fuel shut off solenoid question

Postby bfeguy » Sat Jun 18, 2016 9:14 pm

Pulled up to a buddy's house today and truck didn't shut off with key. So the first thing I did was open hood and unplug the shutoff solenoid and still ran. Does that mean the solenoid is bad. Also after I shut it down with the lever I realized I had a broken motor mount and the oil pan was sitting on crossmember and turbo was on the frame. So it's down anyway.

Solenoid is bad. Either replace it or hook a pull cable to the manual shutoff. If your pump is turned up much a new one won't last long

Thanks man. I am about to put in a 3200 spring and turn up the pump if it's still stock so I will probably change it then.

I make a brass tipped plunger that replaces the rubber tip one.
