I ran a birdbath hood and cowl cover on my crewcab for a couple years. You don't need to change the fenders, the hood lines up fine. But as mentioned the hood latch requires some movement, and I had to run a shorter hood latch spring so it would actually close.....coil bind with the OEM 1st Gen unit. Also required a slight ding on the underside of the hood to clear the latch mechanism.
