Rotor help

Postby 92cummins89 » Sun Feb 19, 2017 7:06 pm

Replacing rotors pads an calipers but I have a solid 1 in gap between the rotors an thin semi circle dust cover plate
An this isn't righ, the inner brake pad doesn't fit in the groove if this makes any sense

More details would be great. 2wd or 4wd truck?

Looks like 2wd stick out farther which would be the opposite of your issue I think......is the hub seating all the way on the spindle?? did you change bearings at all??

still having this issue everything is seated right an both sides have the same gap

when the inner pad is in the grooves there is a big gap b4 it meets up with the rotor

i feel as if the rotor isnt deep enough if that makes sense

Pics would definitely help us visualize what is going on and help you figure this out. I know when I did the front end on my W350 I bought the wrong 8 bolt rotors....they were for a 4wd, but were for the rare 8 bolt D44 front axle, not the 4500# D60. Maybe that is the problem?
