I'm pleased to say the return trip from the coast was uneventful. While on the interstate, I remembered the data-logger thingy!
So, the other day, Jason and I were talking P/Rs and such and I got to talking about the more realistic, normal driving conditions. So . . .
I pulled off the highway and plugged in the logger USB thingy and started it.
I pulled onto my lane and leaned on the throttle so as to come to a steady-state load of acceleration at about 60% throttle . . . and held it there till i was up to 70ish mph. (I got off the fuel a little for gear-changes so as not to blow anymore smoke than necessary. Cars were coming up behind me . . . . initially ).
Primary: 2.10 P/R @ 16.2psig.
Secondary: 1.51 P/R @ 32psig
33.8psig @ intake-log / 30.8psig back-pressure.
Next, I'm simply maintaining 75mph . . .
Orange is the engine RPM.
Top-Purple is the EGT. You can see the heat go up and down with the throttle application to maintain highway speed.
Those plots at the bottom are the turbos and boost, etc.
Looking at a portion that shows a relative average of things gives me . . . .
Primary: 1.15 P/R @ 2.3psig.
Secondary: 1.27 P/R @ 7psig.
7.7psig @ intake-log / 6.1psig back-pressure.
Loving the Boost to Back-Pressure ratios of better than 1/1.
Well, then . . . . . . .
