Little work on the 92

Postby Richie O » Sat Aug 12, 2017 4:48 pm

Figured I would show the latest project and try out my new photo host IMGUR

Got the flatbed on that has been sitting out back for about 8 years. Had to shorten it 2 feet and do a ton of work making the tail board and new mounts for the bed and 5th wheel hitch. I also made a rack for the boat to sit on while towing the camper. This is last weeks trip to the great north woods. Truck did great. Also bought some 17 inch American Racing Outlaw II's

Nice cab visor! I bet that keeps the sun out of your eyes! You know it would be more aerodynamitistical if you turn the boat the other way around. ;)

I can turn sharper with the bow pointing backwards. The square stern would hit the camper. Works well, I can put the boat up myself. Rack is off now. I built it so it comes apart in 4 pieces and can lift it by hand.

Yup, pretty back woodsy for sure. Both owners from the campground were like " wow, never seen that before, thats cool" Up where I go you have to be able to carry every thing you may want. Its close to 40 miles from public roads. All dirt and can be 5 mph at times so it takes some time to get there. Then you have to look out for the 12 ft wide pulp tractor trailers that haul 35 cords at a whack at 60 mph. :D O and ellis, man take out your photobucket links on your signature, takes up a half of a page. ;)

Thanks.

I think 235 80 r17's and yes 17x8's american racing. Jegs had them for 144 each and free shipping. Had a hell of a time on the rear. Truck had 5/8's inch studs on the rear so I ordered 5/8 acorn nuts for the rear and the 1/2 inch for the front. Well, these have very recessed lug holes so the nut would fit, but no socket would fit. Had to pound out the big studs and put stock 1/2 back in. O well, nothing is ever easy. These rims are machine finish, not clear coat. They are rated for 3500 pounds each.

Another thing, I get so many " hey nice truck " when ever I drive any of my 3 first gens. Its pretty funny, They stare at them like they are pure gold. I tease my old man because he hates my old trucks and I just say " how many times did you hear NICE TRUCK today " :D

That show follows the Maine Warden Service and they only police the fresh waterways and all land based hunting. The wardens that I deal with are the Maine Marine Patrol. They have all police powers on land like all police, and have all the police authority on the ocean and all rivers that are tidal. All my fishing and lobster trapping is done in the ocean, I don't even have a fresh water fishing license. My commercial license is around $1300.00 per year, thats all I want to spend.
