I know a couple Duramax guys who run revmax stuff and love it. I don't know how this converter compares to others for our trucks though.

Ofelas hooked me up with a 89% TCS unit. Very excited to get it in.

40% less slip in the tc=40% more slip at the rear tires. That 351 should love that tighter tc. Are you changing the flexplate as well?

Right!!

It was changed a couple years back, have one off a commonrail if need be.

Thinking I'm going to pull the engine and trans, reseal shifter rod, fresh rod/main bearings, hg, valve springs and headbolts

I'm in for info/results. I have a buddy who's dad runs a 46RH in a 1993 truck. I tell him whenever I see him that a good converter would change that truck completely.

How low of a stall speed is "ultra low stall speed"?

Where do we want stall speed to be around, 1500 rpm?

I've just retired a custom Suncoast that I ultimately had them set for around 1700. In hind-sight, I don't think I'd go that low again (increased turbo spool delay) but, it hooked well FWIW.

That's the problem with non lockup converters in a turbo charged, rpm limited setup. More rpm makes the turbo(s) light faster but it also means you're getting out of the powerband sooner.

I have a Georend In my truck. It does okay and is the lowest stall he would build for it. If I did it all again I wouldn't have spent the money on the 518. I I really don't notice a big difference between it and my cheap reman converter that was In it.
