While we're on this subject, my 92 stopped charging on the way home with it tonite. The PO had had it stop charging a while back, but, while it was sitting(he moved on to a second gen in the fall) it seemed to have cured itself. It worked fine last week when I test drove it, and Brian had run it a bit this week, with no problems. About a half hour out of his place, lights on, heater on, it stops charging. I'm thinking it's probably not the alternator, but, I am without a shop manual, so, how do I test the PCM and CPS to determine what is at fault?
