Injector Service

Postby Bill » Sun Oct 07, 2018 11:47 pm

Im searching forums and YouTube but having difficulty finding information. I want to service my stock injectors on a Non-intercooled engine. They’re 9mm(if that makes a difference). I know there not terribly expensive to buy rebuilt but I’m cheap and don’t trust the <$100 sets on eBay. Are they fairly straight forward like the old Mercedes injectors? I don’t have a manual for these injectors. Maybe Bosch has something. Can someone share the link or thread where this is covered?
?Service/rebuild kit with shim washers, etc. ?
? pop pressure spec
? Torque specs for banjo bolts, line couplers, injector retainer
? Specific pitfalls or warnings
I just thought if I can service my Mercedes injectors, these ones are sold as rebuild,... I should
be able to handle it.
Thanks in advance for your assistance my friends.

It only took 9 minutes at 2 in the morning? That's not bad, I barely function at that hour!

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

If I were given two wishes about our career choices...
1) my wife would never work nights
2) I wouldn’t have to wash my hands before and after I pee at work

You don't really have to wash before, but then your wife may think you had a transplant. ;) Or she'll complain about how dirty your undies are.
