After 10 and a half years, Dallas and I finally got married on Saturday.

In other news, I need calipers for my '92. Where is the best place to buy them? I seem to have decent luck with NAPA but if anyone knows of some higher quality parts I'd appreciate it.

I saw something to that effect on the book of feces! Congrats Parker, it sure took her long enough to make up your mind!

All parts places have several grades of parts, I used to buy the cheapest, now I buy middle of the road or the more expensive parts, I've found it's worth it in the long run.

Remps thats good thinking I hadn't thought about viscosity vs pressure. Though it was roughly 75 outside and at the end of the daily drive, the fuel was fairly warm. Also, I thin the oil by blending 85% oil to 15% gas. It gets quite close to the viscosity of diesel at that ratio.

The IP is roughly 3/16" advanced, and it blows my mind how clean this truck is burning a blend of 65% oil, 10% gas and 25% diesel. When the trucks at full temp and Ive recently blown the soot out of it, you cant see any exaust smoke at idle unless there are headlights behind me.

Lost a rear turn signal on my 86 gasser trash. I traced the wire all the way up to the column with no signal. Ugh. Might be time to send it down the road and look for a replacement.

I changed turbos on a 6.7 powerjunk. God is that an awful pita horrendously stupid fecking design. It’s made slightly easier by not having the egr cooler there, but it’s the v-bands at the back that are the worst.

Having looked at those turds before, I'm surprised you don't have to pull the cab to change an air filter lol. Even changing oil in them is a messy pita. Not something I'd want to drive off warranty.

I’m not going to lie. They’ve made me regret becoming a mechanic on multiple occasions.

You too! Lol
And here I was thinking I’m the only one that feels that way, only consultation is the money you make off them. Lol

They do provide a lot of work, even though it’s not stuff I want to do. I think the thing to do once I have my own shop is hire a guy who’s willing to work on them, so I get the money without having to touch them.

Rained yesterday, froze last night, icy roads this morning. Time to find the ice scrapers and winter tires.

Speaking of tires anyone have opinions on cooper ST MAXXs? I generally don’t care for most coopers but I can get my beloved unicorn 255/85 size with these. Other than the above, toyo m55s and km2s does anyone know of another tire in 255/85r16?

And does anyone know if you can still buy those cheap 170/178/186 air cooled diesels in the states? Id like to get a $280 3000 Watts gen head from northern and couple it to the diesel, but about the only online stocker I see is alibaba. Anyone dealt with a site like that before?

I just looked at discount tire direct, and they had/have Goodyear, BFG, Toyo, and two different Cooper in 255/85/16.
