Post FUNNY STORY
a guy comes to the parts counter a while back with some questions about a 92 d350. it ends up, i go to his house and pull the injection pump so he can send it out and i put it back on for him when the pump shop is done. well i convinced him to have the 3200 spring put in while it was at the pump shop. the pump guy is a friend of mine and i had him turn the screws a bit. put the pump back on and get it running and go for a ride with him. he can't believe the difference. amazed at how the truck performs. i leave him with a big smile.

he calls me this morning saying the truck makes a popping noise, well i rack my brain and ask him all kinds of questions and have no idea what it is. he brings it by at lunch, and i walk out to listen. well he free revs the engine to the moon and it pops (scared the hell out of me  ). so after a better explanation of the governor spring and its operation, he's back on the road and smiling again  .

i guess i need to stop assuming everyone knows as much as ya'll do. :D

So what was the popping noise?

I've read that story somewhere before. Word for word I think even.

The guys a spammer. All 2 of his posts contain an advertisement at the end.

I'm pretty sure he copied and pasted his "funny story " from somewhere. I know I've heard it before

The alleged guy in the "story" was free revving his truck to the moon and the valves were floating, hence the popping noise.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.
