Injector Pump removal help!!

Postby frodo2222 » Fri Jan 25, 2019 6:54 am

I need some help..I've gotten pretty much all the lines, nut from the front off and the IP is very loose BUT I cannot seem to get the lower back hidden nut off all the way to get the IP out...is there a trick or a sequence of removal of the 3 bolts that hold the IP in place. I do have the S 13mm wrench.

Who knows HOW ill put them nuts back on as I cannot get 2 fingers back there to start or take off the nut any hints, advise or comment is greatly appreciated!

You might be able to get it with a swivel socket and a bunch of extensions. I know you can do the top one like that but I can't recall if there is room for extensions on the bottom one. Been a while since I pulled a pump.

Mine is pretty loose, once I turn it a few throws with the S wrench, I can spin it off by hand. I usually stand in front and reach down and around with my right hand. (I'm right handed) ;)

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.
