60# valve springs

Postby cougar » Tue Apr 09, 2019 8:55 am

Finally got them in. More valve train noise. Runs better, but I attribute that tho the valve adjustment.

They're not supposed to do any good until you're above 3000 RPM, right?

Being a stronger spring they make the valves close faster at all speeds. At the higher rpms they should have enough strength to keep the boost from blowing the valves open and/ or floating.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

Considering my VE has been tuned to 4,000 RPM, the stiffer springs were kinda necessary.

I found when I did valvesprings on my 6.7 I noticed a difference in performance, and I’d done a valve set the previous month when I did studs, so it’s not the setting the valves that makes a difference.
