2020 BS and Chat Thread

Postby peobryant » Wed Jan 01, 2020 6:56 am

Happy New Year everyone, hope you had a great 2019 and an even better 2020. I still have my '91 D350 but I have plans to add an '89 D250 to the stable as well. I really miss daily driving a 1st Gen, and a 5 speed, D250 with 3.07 gears should make quite a fine daily driver. I don't know if I should look out for a 5 speed truck and swap the 3.07 gears in, or an automatic and swap a Getrag in, though.

It’s been a while since I’ve been on here. Been a bit of a rough go recently. Left the job I hated for another job I hated which led to not performing well, and leaving after not being there long. Haven’t found anything yet even though I’ve had a couple interviews. I did register as a sole proprietorship, but business is slow, and my mental health has been pretty bad recently.

Ducati, sometimes you have to do that to be happy. Keep plugging, things will get better!

Yup, I’m hoping so. I was pretty miserable working on the fords, and other assorted junk for people that didn’t have enough money to fix it properly, then went to a place with an a hole for a boss. The unemployment isn’t the best, but at least I’m spending less time angry.

Hope everyone is having a good year so far. Hopefully I'll be a bit more active this year. I'm looking at a F600 right now I'll stick my Cummins in if I decide to buy it.

Hey all, Im still alive too. Busy as always. Worn out, ect. I still have all 3 1st gens. Only driven the 92 in the past 3 years. 89 and 93 sitting, which is not good. Not enough money to keep them on the road. I use the 92 pulling around the 9 ton equipment trailer so thats why that one is in use.

I’m working on late 40s (47/48) John Deere crawlers. Bunch of junk.....basically turning chicken crap into chicken salad. No time for dodge problems so my heap sits and occasionally pulls a cow trailer. The Duramax truck I drive now has me spoiled with its automatic trans an 50x better ride.
I still like driving the dodge around and rowing gears occasionally. Still runs good but you can tell the injection pump is tired when she runs awhile. Sometime soon I have to do something with it because it’s getting to the point where I either need to do something or get rid of it.

Happy belated 2020 y’all, been heavy into dirt bikes and was fortunate enough to ride about 110 hours from last January to this one. Still running motor oil, really wanting to buy some of my own land.

Got to ride bikes at Brushy Mtn in mid NC last Sunday, the most fun I’ve had to date. Other than that just steady with roofs.

Not much to talk about anymore with everyone buying these fancy new pickups and the First gens getting left to collect dust.
