Need help verifying brake parts

Postby Fred_M1010 » Thu Jun 27, 2019 9:14 am

Hello guys!
My W250 has a really bad parking brake, and I need to fix it to pass inspection.
I've always had problems with this every inspection, so now I think I'll replace the drums and all.
(The drums have been turned earlier, and the diameter is over the service limit now)

Could anyone please take a quick look at my shopping cart to see if I've got things right?
The shipping for a pair of drums to Sweden is not cheap, so I want to make sure I get the right ones...

I know it's a dana 70 axle, and I'm pretty sure that I've got the 12"x3" brakes.
(It's a CTD -91.5 W250 regular cab with long bed and srw)

Here's a link to the shopping cart

(I already have a new rear right parking brake cable, that's why it's not included)

I would really appreciate the help!
And feel free to suggest other parts that might be good to change while I'm at it.

/Fredrik

Hello Swedish "need to fix the parking brake to pass inspection" buddy! I'm in the middle of doing the same thing in Hawaii.

I have one wheel that doesn't spring back very well, and at some point the cable stops both fell off. I've crimped on aluminum cable stops and tested it once and it works well enough, so now I just need it to hold together for tomorrow...

Hi, I actually haven't fixed the brakes yet
It's a farm truck and I don't use it so much now a days.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! :)

I passed my inspection! I had aluminum cable crimps on the cables, they lasted for three applications of the brake but only needed to last for one so I'm good for a year!
