I just realized how long it’s been since I checked here. Mine is still down. Hoping to fix the trans this spring or so and get it back on the road.

My Jetta has been getting some upgrades and maintenance finally though. New injectors, head studs, turbo, intercooler, built ic pipes for it.

My ‘92 gets driven once a week (company vehicle rest of the time), and any time I load bikes up for an adventure. Driving the company truck constantly I’m not running much WMO. I’m trying to participate in as many hare scrambles as possible, going on my first one this year Sunday.
Like everything else, a half clapped out 15 year old motocross bike brings $2500 and up. 2 years ago $800 was a thing.
Oh and all these new vehicles are really fast…….I got waxed by a new minivan the other day :D
On the other side, I’m seeing widespread seemingly random electrical gremlins with a lot of the newer rides. Our company 2021 3500 Cummins has had 2 separate CEL’s, a dash/ gauge wiggout session, 4wd inoperable (electrical side), and exhaust brake randomly not working. Truck has 4K miles on it…….
My 12v is going nowhere.

Oh yeah, the new stuff really makes respectable power.

My truck is spending this phase of its life making endless runs to Home Depot. It's sorta like The Giving Tree. Maybe 20 years from now will be its 12-second hot rod phase.

The red 92 has been hard at work hauling the excavator all over town doing town projects. The new Public Facilities Director for the town took pictures of the rig and sent it to his son who does construction. They are in love. For a rusted worn out pile it sure gets plenty of attention and thumbs up.

Is it just me or does each year seem to go a little faster. Here we are in August and I haven't had time to do the cab swap on my truck. It gave up it's transmission anyway so I guess it's no hurry now.

I jumped in the 93 the other day to use it, dead, I mean dead battery. Got out of that one and was going to take the 89, wife says " The side window is busted ". Wonderful, mowed the lawn, and busted the window out. The 92 has death wobble, so I saw the wheel bearings had a touch of play, tightened them up, and took a 1/4 turn in on the steering box worm gear. We will see if that helps. Can't see a busted frame, all ends and kings seem tight.

Yeah! The busier you are,the faster it goes too. Between work, running my sawmill and CNC machine……then working on the roof of the dodge…….time flies by.

October already. The end of the year is near. Yeah, time flies when you're having fun. Went back to work after almost 2 years of forced retirement last February. Haven't had a lot of free time to take care of important things for one reason or another. Fall happened and winter is about to reboot.

Richie did you get the death wobble sorted? When mine had DW a new drag link cured it.

I’m going head stud hunting for Black Friday (if that exists), anyone have opinions on the Track Techs vs ARP 2000s?
After nearly 10 years owning the ole girl (my first vehicle), I’m going to start putting a couple goodies into her. Still deciding on a clutch,

Hopefully some 6x13s and an he351 soon after. One day I’ll go with the big VE from THD!
