On the midcoast of Maine. I used to be a cause of rot up here. I used to work on the Camden Maine public works. My route was a salt only route. I used to paint grease on my oil pan in the C8500 7 yard truck I used. It had 10 thousand miles on it and the 3116 cat pan was crusty already. We had a 2 1/2 inch hose to was things down with and that helped some but what a mess. Calcium cloride is worse on metal. If you get it on your skin it burns like battery acid.
