HX-35

Postby peobryant » Mon Jun 09, 2008 4:46 pm

My brother has access to about 4 HX-35's and I was wondering if it would be a good upgrade on a stock truck. Also would it bolt right up or would I have to do something to the downpipe? My last question is what is the size of the exhaust housing on one? Thanks.

The downpipe is a 2 bolt flange type on the HX, and it's at a 45* angle. I think the stock housing is a 12cm. Your exhaust housing will bolt right up the the HX, if you wanna go that route. If you have a big housing, you might want to fab a pipe, or get a smaller housing that will fit your pipe.

Pete, what are you smoking now? Depending on the year (latter years used the setup you referred to- I think 99-02), it is a direct bolt up except for moving the downpipe back about an inch and a half.

Thanks for the quick replies, I appreciate all the information. Sorry though, I'm not sure if he wants to sell any or not, he says hes going to make sure he has one in good condition for me, and if he has another one I'll tell him I have somebody who wants one.

Thanks again.

DP, I was thinking of the one from an '01 in my garage. You're right, I forgot the early ones are the same!
