Hi Gang! Is the 21 cm exh housing that doggish?

Would you really notice a difference given the same situation? I just bought a bone stock 1991.5 W250 4x4 IC Auto-O.D. and it really seems doggish. I'm only comparing a "feel", but compared to my almost stock 1-ton DRW 4x4 Auto, it seems sluggish. The Dually has an 18cm, the W250 has a 21.

It just rained and I know my dually could break the tires loose, but the W250 wouldn't even think about it. Just felt like little or no boost. Don't have a gauge yet though.

Too many variables between the two?

Thanks!!

boost difference should only be a couple of pounds. SO I HAVE HEARD. and the 21 takes a little longer to come online.

I remember thniking right after I got mine, "this cannot be the truck those guys are talking about on the web forums." A few cheap parts and a couple screw turns later made all the difference in the world. 366 spring is the biggie for a stick truck.

Thanks guys. That's what I figured/hoped. The truck runs real nice. 136k on the clock. No rust, NM truck. Needs a little nit-picky maintenance and a few other goodies.

I DID, however, presure test the IC and tubes and when I removed one of the boots I immedately noticed oil...Hmmm...Not good. The oil looked old. The turbo wheel had no noticeable play side to side or front to back and it was clean on the intake side. Maybe it was replaced or resealed and this is residual oil that never got cleaned up? Is there any way to check into this to verify that is is or is not leaking internally?

Thanks!!

O.K. I did a bunch of driving today and rechecked for ANY fresh oil in the IC piping. Nothing new. It was hot today and I drove quite a bit so I figured if there was going to be new oil, it would be today. Whew. I feel a little better. Now, I need to get some spunk into it. :D Anyone have a 14cm exh housing they would like to part with?
