Hey grumpy

Yah you got to turn that thing up, are you looking for crazy power for racing or just good seat of the pants but still reliable and decent gas mileage. How you want to use it is what you got to tune it for

Here is what I did you get the best of both worlds, either grind your fuel pin or get an already ground one, then turn your screw up, not to much just enough that it will smoke decent at low end when you get after it. This way you can still get good cruising and good fuel mileage at low end but when you punch it and get some boost to the diaphram it will push that fuel pin down only after the turbo has thoroughly lit and then will dump some fuel down. Just watch your egts. Remeber though that the fuel screw has to be turned in atleast a couple before grinding the fuel pin will help at all. If the fuel screw is not turned in by design the ip will never allow the fuel pin to work correctly. I would start at 2 turns in and drive it a couple of times then pull your fuel pin back out and check your trail, make sure that the needle is riding on it for the whole travel. If it is putting in the fuel screw will dump more fuel at low end put probably wont give any more up on top. Let me know how it goes.

What kind of egts you running my dads truck is turned in 3 turns and had the fuel pin grinded by yours truly he gets about 32 psi on a good day and runs 1300. Is your truck intercooled or not. How far did you turn it in before you got 25. Im happy for you you have the bug now you just have about 15 more tweaks before you get exactly what you want until a week later then you will tweak it some more. Its an obsesion, dont you love it.

Hey get back on the search in this forum and look up the old smokey fuel pin, it shows you how to take out your fuel pin and grind it to get the same affect as if you put a bully dog, this way you can custom tune your fuel curve. Everybody says they dont want to because if they dont like it and want to go back to stock they cant. If you just take the pin out and rotate it 180 degrees you will right back at stock. But I guaruntee you wont do that. Cost to do this mod. $0 Check it out its well worth your time I have done it to my dads, it made a huge difference that is where you need the fuel at the top in when the turbo lights.
