 You guys start your own thread :P . Or get me the stock 5.9 air to water aftercooler, then you can talk about whatever you want on this thread!!

You disbelievers seem to be missing the part that Mr. KTA made 600++HP with one of these school bus parts.

Finders fee for someone that can get me a cooler but most importantly the matching injection lines. I'd buy a new cooler from Cummins if I could get my hands on the lines.

Sorry about that Bill, It does not take too much to get me sidetracked.

I have been looking though, there is a guy in west Texas who says if you cant find the lines, if your carefull and straighten out the lines you have you can rebend them around the cooler, you can make the factory lines work, he said that it is tight and he would send me a picture, he also said that he thought a cooler from a 4bt would possiably go in between the factory lines as is, but it is a little smaller in size. and would probably cool a little less.

have you looked at aftermarket coolers on Ebay? there are a few on there for less than 200.00 dollars you would not have to buy lines and you could mount it in your fenderwell, leave your air/air in the front then just run the pipe into the water/air then into the engine.

just a few thoughts

I just received mine friday afternoon. Cost me $100 plus $40 to ship it.
It is in excellent condition...and the fuel lines are brandy newy! They still have the plastic protective caps on them!
I will just need gaskets and I'll have to make a 90 deg elbow for the intake. (the marine turbo bolts to the rear of the exhaust manifold).

Not braggin'.....just saying they are out there. Located mine on the 4bt Yahoo forum.

Hmmmm

I am and have been there n done that....

My truck runs a air/water intercooler, between the twins, and an air/air aftercooler.

I suspect I am the very first to run dual intercoolers in our applications, meaning trucks.

I can tell you that with the system i have installed, the air temps are almost ambient at the intake.

That equates mathematically, to about 60hp over anything currently in operation.

My egts are only 1100 under full power no matter how hard i run it so far.

Time will tell when i get this thing really runniing

Seeker, you are a minor prophet of the Church of Torque.

But only if you have pictures.

Are you using a stock 5.9 Cummins water jacket aftercooler or a gasser type remote air/water aftercooler? I hope you're not simply using engine coolant for cooling of the air if it's a stock 5.9 cooler.

Yes - I do have pics, and no I am not usin the engine coolant.

The water/air intercooler has its own self contained cooling system mounted in the box of the truck.

And yes at the moment I may be the minor torque guy, but I am strivin to be the first one over 700hp if all works out.

The only thing holdin me back is, like many of you, time n money.

I used to run the boost through an air to air then a watter to air cooler on the pull truck. I know just use one big water to air and intake temps are around 120deg from 700deg. On old yellow my intake temps run about 200 or so. Good luck with the 700rwhp, that would maybe get me motivated to get mine on the dyno again.

Seeker, just copy, then paste the address from the header on the CF into your post here. It takes some practice, I'm just learnin' too!
