If you saw the video in the above reply from me there is a black and grey 89 4x4 with headgear running me. He is the one that spun the whole track. He has an open rear and was in 2 wheel peel. ( street tires ) With some real good slicks you might be fine with an open rear but a locker will help lots. If your running 1/8th mile you may be able to run just 3rd gear depending on how many revs you are running. 1/4 mile you will have to run od for sure. I have bought 15 inch 8 lug wheels in the past. I had them on a chevy with a full float 14 bolt. They were just a black spoke ( nascar style ).
