so, I have done all the stuff listed on my sig. the biggest modification was the pump rebuild and turn up.
It never idled normal after he did the rebuild. what happens is it idles at 750 when it is warmed up. but, until I get the whole beast gets warmed up, it idles from 4-500rpm, barely staying alive.
now, its zero degrees outside, and it won't start and continue to run. sometimes it just doesnt' even start. I have to push the pedal down to keep it running at all. aren't these trucks suppose to start no matter how cold it is? I know our other two 91's do for sure! any situation!!
my mileage has also gone to hell. used to be 18-19 no matter what. now its barely 16. oh yes, and when it actually starts and continues to run, it kicks out white smokey exhaust until its warmed up.
whats the deal? timing? I remember when we installed the pump back on the truck, the whole mess got mixed up because the "key" fell out and we blindly installed it.
