Feel really dumb for needing this information. Had my 91 in the shop putting a 2nd gen intercooler and hx35w in it, and somehow got talked into letting my buddy with another 1st gen try out my new tires :bh:

. (Treadwright M/T Recaps). Before leaving on our adventure I quote he said 'I think I got em on there tight'. not 3 miles from my house we hit an endless pothole as i watched my wheel and tire go off the road. :mad:

Now he gets to buy me a matching set of new wheels and I wanted to know the propor spec'd size. Thanks

I would like to know the specs as well, mainly because I know some people have had issues with wheels out there. Anyone have info? Backspacing? diameter around the hub so they fit?

The bolt pattern is, 8x6.5 with 9/16" lugs. I dont know about the hub size but I do know a ford rim will fit and a chevy won't. The chevy has a small center hole. By the way, how do you like your recap tires? I was thinking about getting some.

The Chevy rims will work if the center is milled out. Ford Alcoa rims will work up to 98. In 99 they went metric :evil:

i took off one of my stock wheels and found. bolt pattern is 8x6 1/2 on 1/2 studs,(of course) the back spacing is 4 1/8 and center hole is 4 13/16. dont know the off set. hope it helps! :roll:

They are 6" wide, not 6.5. That's one reason wide tires on stock rims are a bad idea.

Some of our trucks have 1/2" and some have 9/16 studs.

Dually wheels are 6"; SRW wheels are 6.5". Ford rims from a 97 or earlier will work, too.

Stock SRW studs were 1/2" unless you got some kind of fluke truck (like Philip's 93 with 3.07s).

I got the mud terrain ones, they are doin real good, should have put a better valve steam in though, i've been religious about checking pressure and keeping them up to 80 psi, i wouldn't get as agressive of a tread it makes the truck way way too touchy for my preffered driving style, but all in all they're pretty good.

ha ha i couldn't bs up a better term there, what i mean is that they grab the road more than i like. i had some bfg all terrains on the front, they sucked because on a hot summer day you could watch the tread wear off them, but they weren't near as touchy as the mud terrains. hope that explains it better
