Well my pump went bad so I order a new one and installed it. After following the procedures to bleed the system and double checking everything I tried to start the truck with no luck. After doing another double check the only way the truck will start is if I press the accelerator pedal and keep it press. I the pedal go to the half way point I starve and the engine shuts down. With pedal all the way down I was able to check if there was any air in the lines the truck responded as it should missing when the high psi lines are loosen and going back to normal once returned, but the problem still there. The only way it will run is if I press the pedal and even when is press all the way the rpm’s are really low. Any help?
Thank you for the info I will try it and post my findings. I forgot to mention when I got the new pump I install a 3200 rpm spring also. I didn’t change the settings on the pump. Could that be a problem too? I also check the TPS for proper operation since that was the possible cause of my problem as per the local Dodge dealer service department. With the key on measures 1.3 volts on idle stop and 3.75 on full open stop.
when i did my gov spring it took me atleast an hour to mess with the throttle shaft and get it in the right position. that would be my first guess on why its doing what it doing. For the TPS i would just do a Potentiometer and eliminate the TPS sensor. best thing i did for my truck. its simple $5 and 15 minutes
